MCC Bank Inaugurates 20th Branch in Byndoor, Expands Footprint in Coastal Karnataka

In a significant milestone of its growth journey, MCC Bank Ltd inaugurated its 20th branch in Byndoor on Sunday, August 3, 2025. The new branch is located on the ground floor of Deepa Complex, Main Road, near Petrol Bank, Byndoor.

Udupi, Aug 4 : In a significant milestone of its growth journey, MCC Bank Ltd inaugurated its 20th branch in Byndoor on Sunday, August 3, 2025. The new branch is located on the ground floor of Deepa Complex, Main Road, near Petrol Bank, Byndoor.

The branch was inaugurated by ‘Sahakara Ratna’ Mr Anil Lobo, Chairman of MCC Bank, in the presence of bank officials, community leaders, and customers. Rev. Fr Vincent Coelho, Parish Priest of Holy Cross Church, Byndoor, blessed the new premises with prayers for its success.

The Safe Room was inaugurated by Mr Babu Shetty, President of the Managing Trustee, Shri Mookambika Temple, Kollur, while the E-Stamping Facility was launched by Rev. Fr Philip Nellivilla, Principal, St Thomas Residential School, Byndoor.

Notable guests included Shri Raju Poojary, Ex-President, Udupi Zilla Panchayath; Shri Sadashiva D. Paduvari, Nominated Member, Town Panchayath; and other local leaders and dignitaries. The event began with a prayer song by the bank staff.

In his address, Mr Anil Lobo thanked the public for their warm reception and urged continued support to help the branch achieve a turnover target of ₹10 crore within a year. He emphasized the bank’s remarkable turnaround since 2018 under his leadership, doubling its turnover within seven years, and reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to offering full-fledged services with RBI supervision and DICGC-insured deposits.

Rev. Fr Coelho described MCC Bank as a “Bank of the Society,” known for its progressive leadership and customer-friendly approach. Fr Philip Nellivilla praised the bank's personalized services and expressed hope for its continued growth across Karnataka.

The event also saw the felicitation of students from Byndoor for outstanding SSLC and PUC results, including CA achiever Ms Nicola Roshni Dias. Early customers of the new branch and local contributors, including Mr Jagannath Shetty (property owner) and Mr Karthik Kiran (civil engineer), were honoured.

General Manager Mr Sunil Menezes introduced the new branch staff. The event witnessed the presence of Vice Chairman Mr Jerald Jude Dsilva and Directors including Mr Andrew Dsouza, Mr David D’Souza, Dr Gerald Pinto, and others.

Mr Elroy Kiran Crasto welcomed the gathering, Mr Sandeep Quadras proposed the vote of thanks, and the event was compered by Mr Steevan Colaco from Udyavar.
